A field service app and a faster ERP for a countertop manufacturer, with processing up to 900% faster after a move from VBA to .NET.
Cutting Edge Countertops was growing fast, and its software could not keep up. Operations ran on 15-year-old VBA software that crashed daily, and each order took about four minutes to process. Install crews used an outdated iOS app with no live connection to the office.
We moved the heavy scheduling and order logic from VBA to C# on .NET and used multi-threading to speed it up. Orders now process in about 25 seconds. We also expanded the field app for templating and installation crews and built web pages that show routes, calendars and maps.
We modernized the system in steps, so the business kept running while the old code was replaced. The result is a faster set of tools that can grow with the company and support more automation over time.
