Virtual Office Experience (WeConnectMe)
Bridging the gap between remote work and office spontaneity.
PROBLEM
With the rapid rise of remote work, companies found they were losing the spontaneous interactions and sense of "presence" that a physical office provides. Video calls were too formal, and chat apps were too impersonal.
SOLUTION
We supported an MVP app for a virtual office product aimed at restoring spontaneity and presence in remote work. The platform used a Unity + React architecture: React handled the web application shell and UI, while Unity powered the interactive “virtual office” experience.
Our work focused on the Unity side to manage the real-time, interactive layer—user movement, presence, and in-space interactions—so the product could deliver a more natural “walk up and talk” feel instead of relying solely on scheduled meetings. We structured the implementation so the platform can evolve based on user behavior and feedback, enabling iterative expansion of features that strengthen connection, visibility, and engagement across distributed teams.
